As it was summer, they did have some items besides clothing – Canoes and Camping Stuff. The Colonie Center LL Bean store was huge, the service was great, and the merchandise selection excellent (although they only carry whatever is in season, unlike the Maine Store that carries everything). This is the only full-service LL Bean store in NY state (there is now an outlet open in Fayetteville just outside of Syracuse… but it carrys select merchandise only). Of particular interest to us was LL Bean.
As we were coming from Massachusetts we got there via Interstate 90 and took the Fuller Road exit, and then Central Avenue. Colonie Center is conveniently located where Interstate 87 and The New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) intersect in Albany (the mall is in the northeast quadrant).
